Either you take City Express from Zell am See center and walk from the top station for about 10 minutes - this way is suitable for strollers.
Right at the lake, there's a nice playground featuring a pirate ship which my kids love. You can find many small benches around the lake to enjoy the view.
There's no shop or restaurant at the lake, so bring your own snacks and drinks ;-)
After enjoying your time at the lake you can hike through the woods right after the playground towards Schmittenhöhe and take Schmidolin's path to Areit. Schmidolin's activities start just after a few minutes hike...for more information on Schmidolin's kids hiking path follow the link!
