One dream-like Skiing day in Kaprun***

Oh March, you are by far my favorite skiing month: no more freezing toes, enough room on the slopes for extensive turns and the sun, oh the beautiful sun is strong enough to stay just a little bit longer in this ultra comfy deck chair on the skiing hut...just perfect for good weather skiers like me ;-)

The perfect skiing day starts early and we try to get the first cable car up Maiskogel and take K3 direction Kitzsteinhorn. There we continue straight to the top.

Oh how amazing those first turns on virgin slopes are, perfect conditions ...just wishing it would stay like that forever....

Going up and down the glacier lifts, just taking care a the crossings as the speed builds up fast given the perfect conditions on days like these....and I am not the only one.

For lunch we head to Gletschermühle for a cheese dumpling soup, my fave when skiing as it provides much energy for the afternoon. Delicious ***

So let's move on and benefit from this picture perfect day! We go up again: Maurerkogel, Kristallbahn and then head down to Langwied...

We finish off on Maiskogel, a few last runs on the 'black' slope from the top - just the perfect slope for me. And then we head to the grand final on Glocknerblickhütte...

What the grand final looks like? Deckchair, sunnies, pancake massacre, coffee and chilling to the max...the extra dose of vitamin D is much needed. And the serenity thanks to the lack of bad apres-ski-music is divine...not even mentioning the postcard view***

So we hope this is a good inspiration to the picture perfect skiing day in Kaprun...
