National Park Center Mittersill & Hintersee
Kids love the National Park Center in Mittersill, it's a very interactive museum experience, which informs about the National Park Hohe Tauern in a visually impressive way!
Childfriendly
Breathtaking nature shown in a museum and in reality afterwards
Great for changing weather conditions

Much information and real highlights for kids are clevery combined in this museum. There's a marmot's cave to crawl in, a boulder wall, a 360 degree cinema showing the most impressive landscapes and a real size cow...many things that make our kids smile and interesting stuff for adults too.
The National Parc Center is included in the Zell am See Kaprun summercard and free of charge. Dogs are not allowed.
After that we recommend heading further direction Felbertauern to the idyllic Hintersee...a dreamy mountain lake, where adults can enjoy the view while kids can let their steam off in nature. We recommend bringing extra clothes for the kids ;-)

At the end of the little lake there's a small hut, the Gamsblickhütte...perfect for a small break and delicious pancake massacre *mmmmhhhh*

In case you're bringing a dog, take care...there are free cows running around in front of Gamsblickhütte.
Enjoy!
