Maiskogel children's hike

If you don't want it to be too strenuous with the kids or you just want to go up the mountain for a few hours, the Maiskogel is the place to go: - Stroller and toddler friendly trails - Discovery forest next to the path - Not too steep, not too far... We like to take the gondola up to the mountain station (included in the Sommercard). From there we hike comfortably on the relatively flat path to Unterbergalm (open until the beginning of September).

The path leads through a forest in which there is always something to discover left and right. Adults probably need 15 minutes, with small children it can take a bit longer...

There is a wonderful buttermilk and the wonderful cheese and bacon bread as well as the traditional Brettljausn, all homemade! The hut itself is quite rustic, but very child-friendly with a sandbox and toys.

And the view *****

And depending on the season, you can also find a few wild blueberries in the forest on the way back, for a blue tongue :-)

If you're not exhausted and don't have a pram, you can do the Maiskogel Hüttenrunde from there and go back via the Glocknerblickhütte, another great outlook and nice pancake massacre. Have fun!
